A text frame can be created by double-clicking free space in the Detail window. This will create a text frame the size of the window. A second way to create a text frame is to position the mouse pointer in free space in the Detail window, click, drag, and release. Finally, you can create a text frame by using Paste when there is no frame currently selected.
Graphics frames can also be created by double-clicking or dragging if the Option key is depressed while they are performed. In addition, you can create a graphics frame by pasting a picture from the clipboard. The graphics frame will be set to the size of the picture and centered in the window, where it can be dragged to the correct position.
